Ronda

Andalusien

Spain is so much more than the south coast. A little bit further up from the coast you can enjoy Andalusian cork tree forests, breathtaking mountain views, Moorish villages of whitewashed houses. Further west you can explore the wild white sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast, more nature parks and hiking trails. Add to it, a relaxing ambiance, rich culture and history. Last but not least joyful, friendly people.

We create tailored trips for solo travelers, couples, groups.‍ Tell us what kind of travel you want to do, how long you can stay and which type of accommodation you prefer etc.‍ We take you closer to the Andalusian culture and lifestyle and we give you tips on accommodation, excursions and events.

Ronda

There is a certain meditative ambiance in Ronda.  Magnificent views over the gorge with blue mountains far away as a backdrop. Streets lined with orange trees, the park Alameda del Tajo with a sudden halt entering the balconies at the edge to the gorge.

Down in the valley you can see wine yards and fields of olive trees. Ronda is a spectacular place in Andalucía and one of the most visited for its dramatic appearance and the bridge Puente Nuevo (1973). It is one of the oldest towns in Spain with a rich cultural history. The architecture and the culture bear the stamp of Celts, Romans, Moors and Christians through history.

When you think you have seen it all, it is still many small streets to explore. Or, why not jump on the bus and make a round trip via Marbella and back passing the north side of the national park Sierra de Las Nieves on the way back.

Cadiz Spain

City vibes

Do you prefer holidays in cities offering culture and architecture – then here are many possibilities to enjoy the Andalusian cities, all with their own character.

Granada-many have tried to describe this place in words, from travelers to poets. But Granada has to be experienced. From a view spot in town you can see Alhambra with Sierra Nevada as a dreamlike background. Have a stroll passing the cave houses. If flamenco is on your wish list, Granada is the perfect place.

Sevilla is the capital city of Andalucía and has an Arab, Jewish and Roman heritage, most known for its Cathedral but you can find several imposing historic buildings. Take a stroll in the Jewish quarter and along the river Guadalquivir.

Cádiz, “Little Havana”, our absolute favorite. The town is said to be the oldest in the western world! Here we recommend a stroll around the city, located on a peninsula. A real pearl!

Hiking and Wining

In the small village of Juzcar, half an hour drive from Ronda, we can find La Fabrica Hojalata, an organic wine bodega. An optional day program for Ronda. For its mix of history, beautiful nature, mystic and of course their organically produced wine. We´ll do wine and tapas tasting, while listening to the story of the place. After the visit we hike to the village of Juzcar, about 3 km, the blue village with a story of its own. We will tell you the story.

Bolonia Beach Spain

Wilderness

In Andalucia there is a vast wilderness and lot of nature to explore with three national parks and 24 nature parks. The national parks are Doñana, Sierra de las Nieves and Sierra Nevada.
Sierra de Grazalema nature park (picture below) is located between Málaga and Cádiz and is partof a mountain massif with heights up to 1600 m. Grazalema is a suitable day excursion from Ronda. Along the Atlantic coast  from Tarifa to Cadiz you will find beautiful long stretches of more or less wild beaches. Bolonia is the most famous for its high sand dunes. You will feel very far from exploited and crowded Costa del Sol.

Sierra de Grazalema, Spain

Tarifa

This windy lovely little town on the southernmost peak of Spain is another absolute favorite of ours! Here the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic! This town will capture you and you want to come back, for sure. Or you simply don’t want to leave Tarifa ever again.

Only 14 km from the African coast and you can see the high mountains of Morocco in a distance, but closer than you have imagined.
Long stretches of white sandy beach, a kite surfers paradise, winding narrow streets and ancient whitewashed buildings. This small town has a big variety of cozy bohemian cafés and restaurants and we know the best places.

We collaborate with El Cachalote Project who are raising awareness and doing research on whales, marine conservation and environment issues. The project is done in collaboration with local craftsmen and their products ar sold in their shop in the center. More info about the project here
